Christmas Countdown: 7 days to go!!!

One week, that is all we have left!  My kids are going crazy with excitement.  We tried to get school done yesterday, they could not focus so we made cookies instead.

I think I missed posting yesterday, I have had so much on my mind lately, I apologize.

Today, I want to send you to the North Pole!  There are activities for kids and parents and lots of magic to be found.

Christmas Countdown: 10 days to go!

I wasn't sure I wanted to post anything today.  My heart is still aching today after the tragedy yesterday in Connecticut.  I really have lost what little Christmas spirit I had in me.  I need to get beyond this feeling.  My little ones are still blissfully innocent, and they are getting more and more excited by the day!  I need to find the delight in their eyes inside myself, so I am moving ahead with the day and will try to see through their eyes for the next few days.  I'm excited for them, I need to bring that back to my surface.

Christmas Countdown: 11 days!!

We will soon be in the single digits!  Have you started baking yet?  Do you make more cookies than you know is logical?  For me, I have to wait till the last second to make my cookies, or my kids wouldn't have any left for Santa!  I make about 8 different kinds each year.  Everyone can pick one favorite and then there is the standard cutouts which I hate making but it's not Christmas without them!

Christmas Countdown: 12 days to go!

Can  you believe that we will soon be in the single digit numbers as we count down???  I'm starting to panic, how about you?  I have not wrapped a single thing, in fact I keep forgetting wrapping paper when I'm out shopping!!!  I may find myself wrapping in newspaper on Christmas Eve if I don't remember soon.  I really think that wouldn't be such a bad thing, but I think the kids in my house would be sadly disappointed.

When the panic starts to set in (the wrapping paper, the shopping not finished), I start to lose the joy of the season.  I start to feel a bit like the Grinch!  So I felt it fitting today to share a game to beat that Grinch right out of oneself!

Christmas Countdown:13 days to go!!

My goodness, time is going fast!  Are you ready?  Are you even close to ready??  Our tree is up, most of the shopping is done, but a few things need bought yet.  Most of the kids still need to be taken to do their shopping.  We will be done before Christmas Eve... I think.
